Our success can be traced back to several factors, from the personal enthusiasm and commitment of the roasting plant owner, careful selection of the best raw ingredients, technologically advanced manufacturing machines and a completely automated manufacturing line, to the high standards of quality, which remain constant throughout the entire process.

1991The Gala d.o.o company is founded.
1992The first original blend is made in a 60 kg roaster and the Buon Caffe brand is born.
1996The production is extended to cream and puddings with the Ms.Gaston brand and cocoa with the Kakavka brand..
2002Beginning of export to foreign markets and the establishment of the first subsidiary on the Croatian market..
2004Takeover of representation for Saeco coffee machines in Slovenia and Croatia, the development of products to be used in vending machines and brand specialisation.
The production is moved to a new plant in Lucija, renovation of the manufacturing process, products and packing machines. Roaster with 240 kg/batch capacity, cold grinding mill, etc.
New Laboratory for quality control and the creation of new blends.
2014Acquisition of the IFS Food certificate.
2015A new brand of coffee products Galador and a redesign of the graphic image.
2015A world innovation – coffee with probiotics is created in the Gala d.o.o. laboratory in Portorož.
2016Expansion of the manufacturing plant - larger storage capacity.
2017New production line for the Instant product category.
2018Establishment of a new Quality center - a 3 level control ensures higher quality of every product we put on the market.
In 2020 we have joined the UTZ certification scheme as part of the company's sustainable development. The UTZ program is active in more than 116 countries in fields of coffee, tea, cocoa and hazelnuts production. The UTZ program is about good agricultural practices, supports better social and living conditions for farmers and sustainable environmental concerns.

Certified organic coffee is produced by farmers who emphasize the use of renewable resources and the preservation of soil and water quality for a healthier natural environment.
For this purpose, we have obtained the ORGANIC / BIO / ECO certificate, which allows us to prepare the best blends of organically grown coffee under strict supervision.
